Prestigious Award of Late Dr Munshi Ram ji & S Balkar Singh Sandhu Education Welfare Society given to Guest of Honor of S.Gurdev Singh Maroke Memorial Scholarship Presented by H.P. Model SR. Sec. School, Sangowal(JAL)

At Dr. Munshi Ram Ji Charity Promoting Education, we have been incredibly fortunate to receive unwavering support from individuals and organizations that have selflessly contributed their wealth, time, and resources to uplift and empower marginalized individuals through our education and skills development initiatives.

Year after year since 2000, starting with two schools, scholarships are now awarded in eight schools every year. They are given in memory of generous individuals who served the community selflessly. The scholarships are awarded to the toppers in the annual Board exams during school functions or, most of the time, during the morning prayers of the schools. The names of the toppers are also inscribed on the Notice Board, which includes the names of the individuals in whose memory the scholarship is given, as well as the name of our society. The certificate is also given to the winner of the scholarship.

Our Vision

Main aim is to honor those individuals in whose memory the scholarship is given.
To instill a spirit of competition among the students, aiming for one of them to become the recipient of both the prize money and honor.
To provide financial assistance to underprivileged students in government schools, especially those who face educational disadvantages.

The scholarships were established in the year 2000 in the names of the individuals listed above, who were exceptional human beings. These scholarships serve as a tribute to their contributions in the fields of healthcare and education, as well as their roles as mentors to Gurmit Singh, who has established the scholarships in their honor.

Gurmit Singh believes that without the mentorship of these two individuals during his early education days, he wouldn't have been able to complete his education and reach the position he is in today.

In addition to their mentorship, they also offered unselfish financial assistance and provided free healthcare to Gurmit Singh's family during their challenging financial times.

It is out of this gratitude that Gurmit Singh has chosen to give back, aiming to benefit those students who are brilliant and gifted but also burdened with financial constraints.

From its inception in 2000 until 2014, these scholarships were awarded to students from the following schools:

The scholarships were awarded to students from Government Senior Secondary School and Government Primary School in Sangowal, in memory of Late Dr. Munshi Ram Ji, from their inception in 2000 until 2014.
The scholarships were granted to students from G.G. Hargobind Bet Khalsa High School, Mehatpur, in honor of Late S. Balkar Singh Sandhu, the Headmaster.
